Ability of successful people lies in their skill to handle and manage difficult situations. They are capable of showing a smile even with the most tense situations. Nobody could be more tolerant and calm than Socrates of ancient Greece. That’s why he is among the great philosophers.
It is hard to find a team of people, an environment, either at our home or at our workplace most suited to our temperament. we come across hostile people, people with negative attitudes. cynics, people filled with jealousy, etc.
We have to manage these negative attitudes; only then we can be successful. ” Experience teaches us that things are not as good or as bad as they seem to be.”
Why do we respond to problems and challenges with tension and anxiety? The more severe the circumstances, the more should we relax. unfortunately there is no way for us to avoid the feelings of fear, anger, jealousy, hostility- the negative attitudes which can keep back our performance.
We exhibit our emotions in varied degrees in our day-to-day operations, both professional and domestic life. These emotions can adversely affect our performance and will act as brakes to our efficiency.
To fight against negative attitudes, the basic requirement is to understand that everyone has to face problems and challenges. This realisation takes us over the first hurdle of disturbance that most problems bring us.
People who appear to be least worried are not the ones who have the least to worry about. Often they are the people who have mastered the art of managing their worries. What happens to you is important but what you think about what happens to you is even more important, since it sets your emotions/attitudes in action.

I have so many things to share and write about. I want to write on the issues related to education, crafts, movies, kids, education, beauty and all those things that interest me. Every time my daughter quips something funny or wise, I think of penning it on one of my blogs. Every time I leave my house, I put my digital camera in my Jacket’s pocket. You don’t know when you may find some interesting scene or an opportunity to click a nice photo for your blog. Now a days every move I make, everything I do, is related to finding topics for writing. And I don’t have a dearth of them. So my advice to fellow writers is that you should take more interest in your life to beat that writer’s block. Go out and have fun. This will not only rejuvenate your spirits, but it will also give you material for writing.
Today we went to a friend’s house for the first time so we hired a cab, which had GPS system installed in it. In fact every cab in Edinburgh is fitted with GPS. So I can write on the use or misuse of GPS.
When we reached friend’s house, her mother was ready to cook chicken for us. She was waiting for me as I had asked her to show how she prepares chicken recipe. I got good ORIGINAL content for my craft blog. I have even thought of the title ” How to cook chicken in 30 minutes”.
We went shopping in the evening and I bought a very elegant long black coat from one of the charity shops for just three bucks! I am thinking of compiling a list of charity shops in the city so that other people can also benefit from the information. So, that’s the third topic of the day.
If I seriously work on these three subjects, I will be occupied for a week. See, its so easy to get out of the shell and get going.

Most people have been bullied at some time in their lives. If you are being bullied its not your fault-the bully is the one with the problem. However, it’s necessary to take action.

  • Find a teacher, parent or other adult you trust, and tell them exactly what is happening. They don’t necessarily have to get involved or even speak to the bully. Just sharing the problem will make you feel better, and they can support you, advise you and help you stand up for yourself. Most schools have strict policies on bullying and your teachers will have a lot of experience of dealing with the problem.
  • Practise looking and sounding confident. Bullies are usually cowards who pick on people that they think are weaker than themselves. Stand up tall and hold your head up high when you walk around school. Speak in a clear, strong voice and look people straight in the eye.
  • Whenever possible, ignore any behavior that is intended to make you feel scared or bad about yourself. Convince the bully that you are not bothered by them or hurt by their remarks-they will quickly get bored and leave you alone.
  • Try to think ways to deal with difficult situations before they occur. Practise things that you could say to someone taunting you. Crying or shouting usually only makes things worse, whereas a clever, casual remark, will make you seem confident and in control. Always try to remain calm and be reasonable.
  • Bullies won’t pick someone who is surrounded by supportive friends. Keep an eye out for people who often seem to be alone and make an effort to get to know them. This way you will make lots of new friends and keep the bullies at bay.

No one deserved to be bullied. Don’t give in to a bully, don’t encourage a bully, and never, ever be a bully yourself.

The best way to improve your memory is to exercise your brain. Try doing a few puzzles every day-newspapers usually have a daily puzzle page, or you can buy different kinds of puzzle books, like sudoku.
Learning skills is a great way to train your brain and keep it in shape. Try mastering something new, like learning how to play a musical intrument or learning how to knit.
Brush up on your observational skills. Ask someone to collect together 15 small objects from around the house and place them in front of you on the tray. Study them for thirty seconds, then go away and try to write down all the objects you remember. Alternatively, get your friend to remove one object while you cover your eyes. Guess which object is missing from the tray.
One of the easiest ways to remember things is by repetition. The more you practise this, the faster you will memorize things. Try learning a new poem every week. Read it out loud to yourself a few times until you can recite it by heart.

Mnemonics, which are memory tools, are handy as well. The trick is to associate the information you need to remember with simple sentences. For example, you could use the sentence|”Richard OF York Gave Battle In Vain” to recall the colors that appear in the rainbow, and their order ( Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet).
Rhymes are useful for remembering too. Here is one to help you remember how many days there are in each month:
Thirty days hath September,

April, June and November;

All the rest have thirty-one,

Excepting February alone,

And that has twenty-eight days clear,

And twenty-nine each leap year

You have to train puppies very early.Training your dog to respond to you will make your life easier and keep your dog happy and safe. I have listed a few tips below on how to train your dog. You should start training a puppy straight away, so that it doesn’t develop too many bad habits.

Puppy Potty Training: You will need to toilet train a puppy when you first bring it home. Take it outside every couple of hours, especially after sleeping, eating and drinking, At first you could let your puppy urinate indoors on newspapers. Move the newspapers nearer to the door each day, and then outside.

Socializing: Young puppies need to be taught how to behave. Introduce them to people and animals slowly, so that they are not overwhelmed. They should also learn to be left on their on for a short time, so they don’t get distressed every time you leave the time.

Positive Reinforcement Training: Simply put, it means to give your dog a treat every time it obeys you. We humans also like to be appreciated for good behavior and so is the case with dogs. You must reward your dog immediately after the good behavior so that the dog associates the reward with the action that caused the treat.

Commands: Start teaching your pet dog commands. Teach it to recognize its name and the word no, Always say no in a firm voice and back it up with a body signal, such as waving a finger. Make sure everyone in your family uses the same word and signal for each command. Be firm but don’t lose your patience. Never hit your dog.

Come: To train train your dog to come to you, crouch down with your arms open and shout your pet’s name and the the word come. When your dog comes, reward it with a dog treat. gradually increase the distance between you. Its best to keep your dog on a long, retractable lead at first, until you are sure it won’t run off.

Sit! Stay!: Teach your dog to sit by raising a dog treat over your head so that the dog has to sit down to see it. At the same time say sit firmly. When your dog sits, praise it and give it the treat. To teach it to stay, put your hand out flat towards the dog’s face and say stay slowly. Keep repeating this as you gradually move away. If your dog gets up, try again.

Clicker Training: This method makes use of Russian scientist Ivan Pavlov’s techniques. Basically it involves conditioning your dog’s behavior with the help of a clicker. A clicker is an instrument which makes clicking sound. So when your dog behaves properly and does as told, you click and then treat the dog.In this way you teach your dog to recognize what is a good dog behavior and how it should behave so that it gets a treat.

You might want to train your dog to compete in pet competitions. Agility classes are fun for both of you.
