My husband’s company has changed the rules regarding house rent. The company has decided not to give out the house rent to the employees. Instead it will provide the accommodation and pay all the bills for All Year Cooling and Heating, gas, internet, council tax and telephone connection. It is done to avoid any discrepancies in the actual rent cost and the amount claimed by the employee. Earlier people used to live in low cost rented house and claim a very high house rent. Now there is no way that can be done. The bachelors are the hardest hit by this change in policy. They were saving big money by living in shared apartments.
I think this arrangement suits us better. Now we don’t have to worry about switching off the heating or paying the council tax, which is increasing by the day. The only expense we have now is food and clothing. This is the arrangement I like and my husband has also slowly got the brighter side of the change.
