I have been working as a lecturer for the last two years, but I haven’t yet bought a car. All the other lecturers in the present college have cars and it is some what of a status symbol. Now my daughter will start going to play school and I will be picking her up. I need to adjust my time table in such a way that I get free periods to get time to take her home. This is a lot of fuss, but what to do. If you need employment, you have to be ready to make compromises too. If I want financial independence and a better prospect for my children, then I have to see the bright side of my employment. I will be buying a car soon, then it won’t be a hassel to commute to the job and drop and pick my daughter at her school.
