Cats come in many colors, shapes and sizes. Purebreds, or pedigrees, always share distinctive characteristics, though the color of their eyes and coat may vary.

: The elegant Siamese originates from Thailand ( formerly known as Siam). It has a slim body with long legs and a long neck and nose. Its fur is extremely short and its eyes are bright blue. Siamese cats usually have chocolate-brown, creamy or whitish gray coats with darker points ( ears, nose and tail).

Persian Cats: The Persian cat was first brought to Europe from I ran ( formerly known as Persia) by traders, although its exact origin is unknown. persian-catsIt has a compact body,short legs and a bushy tail. Its fur is long, thick and very soft, and comes in a number of colors. Its rounded face and short nose tend to make the Persian cat look grumpy.

Mixed Breeds: Most pet cats are usually mixed breeds- a blend of several different breeds. Their appearance varies enormously, though. They often have short hair. They are identified by the color or pattern of their coat.
Tabby: Dark stripes on body; rings round legs and tail. Various colors, including brown, ginger and shades of gray.taby cat
Tortoiseshell: Blotches, and speckles all over. Either ginger and black, or blue-gray and cream.
Smoked: Fur is pale with dark tips.
Ticked/ Agouti: Individual hairs have different band of color.
